Toni Henderson with One Balance Health, aims to mend the gap between knowing and doing, by catering to each individual’s unique circumstances. Whether it is weight loss or weight management, managing a dietary condition, developing a healthy relationship with food or just living a healthier, more balanced lifestyle, Toni offers a variety of services and packages designed to meet your needs.

What is Health Coaching? Why work with me?

Health coaching is a person centred approach to lifestyle change. Change is not easy, and often when we need to change something in our lives, guidance and support makes it a little bit easier. With coaching, we can make the impossible, possible.

I am a registered Dietitian, certified Health and Nutrition Coach and an accredited yoga instructor. My passion for health, work experience with chronic illness and weight loss, combined with my compassion and realistic view of health, puts me in a good position to help guide you on your journey to a healthier, more balanced life.

With the internet and all the nutrition and diet information out there, it can be tricky to make sense of all of it and know if what you are doing is the best thing you ca be doing for you. I will help you to translate complex scientific evidence into practical solutions so that you can reach your weight and health goals, help manage chronic health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity.

As your Health Coach, I focus on you, as an individual and your personal lifestyle and situation. As part of the package, I do genetic testing through DNAlysis to help tailor your program and plan to you, to help achieve the best results possible. I will provide you with a tailored eating plan and menu, and guide you in your training. I will guide you in managing concerns pertaining to poor digestive issues, chronic diseases of lifestyle, weight loss and stress management. The key is to focus on things, which nourish your body both on and not just focus on the calories, and find a balance within your environment that works for you to promote good health and vitality.

About Me

Food is a big part of everybody’s life. When we celebrate we celebrate around food. When we mourn we mourn around food. When we meet to catch up with family and friends, we meet around food. Food is a social, emotional as well as necessary and often we favour the social and emotional connection with food rather than necessity which can lead to unhealthy choices, over eating, weight gain and sub-optimal health.

As a dietician and health and nutrition coach, I am trained to help you identify your problem areas and help you to understand what happens to your body when you eat and how to improve your health and general well-being through managing your diet and triggers in your environment. The media is filled with weight loss tips, advice, FAD diets and quick fixes to weight problems and it is becoming very difficult for the public to identify what is fact and what is fiction! I can help you identify which information you can trust and which to ignore.

I am passionate about healthy eating and lifestyle. I am also interested in the treatment and management of chronic diseases of lifestyle including diabetes, insulin resistance, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), high blood pressure and obesity. I have a special interest in disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), focusing on relieving IBS symptoms and gaining a better balance in your gut bacteria. 

I love food and enjoy cooking and strongly believe that food is meant to be enjoyed, not feared. I am dedicated to helping my clients see food in a different light and to adapt achieve a healthier relationship with food through education and understanding.
